GetDocumentsOwnedByUser API¶

Returns a paged list of documents owned by the specified user, sorted by document name ascending. Supports offset-based paging via startingRow and rowCount.

Returns a <response> element with success="true" containing zero or more <document> child elements. Results are sorted by document name ascending.

Document Attribute Reference¶

| UserViewStatus | int | Integer indicating whether the current user has viewed the document. 0 = NoView (never viewed), 1 = Changed (viewed but the published version has since changed), 2 = Viewed (viewed the current published version). |

Additional standard document attributes are included based on document type and system configuration.

Empty Result¶

Documents come back as the full <document> element. Since 9.0 it also carries AIEnhanced and AIExtractConfidence. The first says which of the document's attributes infoRouter Connect produced, as a set of bits - 0 when none did; the second how sure it was about the weakest value it put in a property set, as a percentage. Paging¶

Use startingRow and rowCount to page through large result sets.

startingRow is the number of records to skip. rowCount is the number of records to return. The total number of owned documents can be retrieved separately to calculate the total page count.

Every call answers XML with HTTP 200, success or not, so success is the thing to branch on and errorCode is the number to report.

rowCount=0 means every row, not none, and the answer then reports rowCount as the total rather than the zero that was sent - so a loop that trusts the value it sent will not terminate. The same applies to GetFoldersOwnedByUser, GetAuthoredDocuments and GetCheckedoutDocumentsByUser.

Notes¶

• Results are always sorted by document name ascending regardless of paging parameters.
• startingRow is zero-based: startingRow=0 returns from the first record, startingRow=50 skips the first 50.
• To retrieve all documents without paging, pass startingRow=0 and a sufficiently large rowCount.
• Ownership is determined by the document owner field, not the author (creator). See GetAuthoredDocuments for author-based retrieval.
